Dear Camp a la Francais

Rough Gear > Excalibur Crossbows
Rough Cooking > Tourtiere

Today Thomas and the crew are back at Montebello for a deer hunt a la francais. But today is not just about the hunt; in fact the hunt is secondary to the camaraderie surrounding the hunt.

The annual deer hunt is a tradition that is part of the very fabric of many Canadians. For many of us it was the deer hunt that allowed us to take that first step into manhood. Not necessarily by taking that first deer, but rather an acceptance into the world of adults. Of being, even for a short time a peer with your father or even your grandfather.

Join us as we team up with some great friends and head to the beautiful Province of Quebec, where we’ll tell a few stories and wander down memory lane to give you a glimpse of just what this annual tradition called the deer hunt has come to mean to me and to them.
