BC Caribou

Rough Gear > Firearm Safety and Storage
Rough Cooking > Caribou Tenderloin Stroganoff

Today the Canada in the Rough™ team heads to the wild and rugged wilderness of Northern British Columbia’s interior, where Thomas teams up with Shane Black of BC Safaris to hunt the majestic mountain caribou.

Our jumping off point for this week’s adventure is the small community of Dease Lake which is only a short 25 minute flight by float plane to the lodge. Although located only about 100 miles from the Yukon boarder Dease Lake is easily accessible by commercial airline or by road.

Caribou are abundant in this part of British Columbia with a hunter success rate of close to 100%. Join us as Thomas begins a true wilderness adventure in the wilds of Northern BC.
