Farmland Invaders

Rough Gear > Varmint Guns
Rough Cooking > Muffaletta Sandwich

Today the Canada in the Rough™ team helps out with some fast paced Southern Ontario farmland varmint control as Thomas hunts for groundhogs and coyote.

Coyote habitat includes marginal farmlands as well as the highly developed mixed farming areas further south. Swamplands, game preserves, parks, and the edges of urban areas all provide ideal habitat for the coyote. They can even be found to inhabit the park-like river valleys of Metropolitan Toronto.

“How much wood could a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?” Well if you could substitute the agricultural damage they inflict each year I would say they could chuck quite a lot of wood. You will seldom find a farmer that is reluctant to have you rid his pastures of these furry rodents and if you’ve ever dropped knee deep into a groundhog hole while walking across a field or meadow you likely didn’t have real kind thoughts about them either.
