BJ and The Bears

Rough Gear > Redhead bows and tuning up
Rough Cooking > Oven BBQ Bear

Join us as Thomas is joined by country & western sensation Brad Johner. This is Brad’s first bow hunt for black bear but I’m sure it won’t be his last.

The black bear population of Saskatchewan is estimated at 35 - 40,000 animals with the highest population densities being in the middle portion of the province. Due to the elusive nature of black bears this is a “best guess” estimate.

The province of Saskatchewan wisely controls their black bear population by maintaining both a spring and fall hunt.

The colour phase of Saskatchewan black bears can include blonde, brown, and cinnamon, with over 75% of harvested bears being black.
