Brunswick Bruins

Rough Gear > Scent Elimination
Rough Cooking > Brook Trout
with Caper and Lemon

New Brunswick, the largest of Canada's four Maritime Provinces, borders Quebec, Nova Scotia, and the state of Maine and boasts some of the best black bear hunting on Canada's east coast.

Due to the ideal habitat and vast amount of unpopulated wilderness there are large numbers of large black bear available to hunt in New Brunswick. It's estimated that there are as many as one bear per 4 sq. km in areas of prime habitat.

Michael Olson gets Wild in the Kitchen with some mouth watering brook trout served up with the local spring delicacy; fiddleheads. Rough Gear takes a look at scent elimination and some of the ways to prevent getting "busted" on your next hunt.

Please join us as Thomas takes aim on some fast paced bear action with a compound bow and between hunts manages to pull a few delectable brook trout from the local stream. We'll even get to chat with a local musician that makes and plays his own mandolins.
