Whitetails in Wolfe's Clothing

Rough Gear > Crossbow Facts and Accessories
Rough Cooking > Venison Paillard
with Sweet & Sour Onion Relish

Thomas is joined by fellow hunting enthusiast Bill Troubridge of Excalibur Crossbow as we travel to the shores of fabled Wolfe Island for a cold late season crossbow hunt for white tailed deer.

Wolfe Island " the largest of the famed Thousand Islands " sits at the extreme northeast end of Lake Ontario at a point where the waters of the Great Lakes begin the long journey down the St. Lawrence River to the ocean. Better known as a staging area for huge numbers of waterfowl, Wolfe Island also supports a large population of white-tailed deer.

Chef Michael Olson whips up some Venison Paillard with Sweet & Sour Onion Relish and we will take a close look at some of the features of the modern hunting crossbow. You'll also get a close up look at historical Brown's Bay Inn as we explore the lore and legend of Wolfe Island.

Please join us as Thomas and Bill get ready to outsmart these "wizards of the woodland."
