Dodge Trucks

Now is the time to think ahead and plan for the needs, and the wants of your next hunting season.  Choosing the right truck for your needs will catapult your journey into a whole new level of hunting enjoyment.

If you truly want the best of all worlds you just can’t beat a solid four door pickup.  A solid 4x4 with a high ground clearance, combined with aggressive off-road tires is essential; although a combination on/off road tire will smooth out those highway miles a bit and may be a reasonable compromise.  After all, we want the boys in the back to be well rested so they can haul the gear into camp when we get there.

There’s nothing more uncomfortable than a group of oversized hunters with bulky clothing trying to squeeze into small cab.  This is where having a rear seat with plenty of leg room keeps everyone from complaining during the trip to the moose camp. Add a DVD player and you can keep kids of all ages entertained with their favorite hunting show until you reach your destination.

Back seats that fold perfectly flat have the added advantage of allowing for more storage space, or can keep your four legged companion warm and comfortable in the cab, kennel and all.  The extra interior storage space also allows for safe and out of sight storage for your firearms.

There’s enough room in our Canada in the Rough pick up for the camera crew and all our gear.  It also has a payload capacity that can easily handle heavy cargo like moose or even buffalo.  And outfitted with a clean burning, fuel efficient diesel engine will provide you with plenty of low end torque to handle even the most demanding terrain.

Trucks have come a long, long way from the gravel slingers that were the mainstay in years gone by.  Today’s trucks can deliver six hunters and all of your gear to the hunt camp in comfort.  So if you’re passionate about your outdoor pursuits it may be time to step into some rugged luxury that will get you in and get your game out.
