Season #5: Episode List

This week's episode of Canada in the Rough finds Thomas and the crew on a goose hunt in the highly productive fields near Gananoque in Southern Ontario.  It's late September and the fall goose migration is starting to pick up steam as we set up on the western edge of the prolific Atlantic flyway. 

Thomas and the crew hook up with guest and long-time hunting companion Jerry Sampson for an early season black bear hunt near the town of Gowganda in Northern Ontario. 

Most hunters and outdoors people enjoy the ease and simplicity of hunting, fishing, camping, or any other outdoor activity at their leisure. Well on today's unique show Thomas will be hunting with Wylie Harvey of Accessible Canadian Adventures, who specialize in helping the disabled get out and accomplish their outdoor dreams. 

Follow the adventures of Thomas and the crew as he mentors a group of junior hunters on their first bear hunt in the Haliburton region of Central Ontario.

Thomas will be joined on today's hunt by Tim Brandt of Federal Premium Ammunition, with them will also be internationally acclaimed waterfowl biologist Scott Petrie.

This week finds Thomas in the Province of Alberta going after Mule Deer with Silver Sage Outfitters.

Private jets, fine dining, wine cellars and luxurious rooms are not the images typically seen on “Canada in the Rough”, but on today’s episode we’ll be experiencing all of these and more!

Northern Quebec is synonymous with Caribou hunting, so once again this year we headed back to “High North Outfitting” with friend and renowned outfitter, Kevin Mattice. 

This weeks episode follows Thomas on a rifle deer hunt in the Duck Mountains near the town of Roblin Manitoba with good friend and outfitter Royden Spence from "Twisted Oak Outfitting".

Ptarmigan hunting is an under rated hunting experience and Quebec's Tundra holds a great population of these excellent eating birds.  So this week Thomas shows us just what people are missing at "High North Outfitting".

These days Crossbow hunting has become just as popular has compound bow hunting in many parts of Canada and it's no wonder why with the amazing equipment "Excalibur Crossbow" keeps producing.  This week Thomas will head-out on his home farm to take advantage of the late season archery deer hunt with his trusty Excalibur Crossbow and his daughter Jessica.

Today we're taking a different journey, a journey that might ultimately protect your hunting heritage. We'll be spending time with a true outdoorsman and a member of the Provincial Progressive Conservative Party; Frank Klees.

This week we're opening up the Archive Vault to take a peek at an epsiode from Season 2.  It's late November but the weather feels more like September as we hunt for whitetails with Manley Adventures near the town of Love, in North Central Saskatchewan.

Hunt Camp is one of the most memorable experiences for many hunters across Canada and this week ‘Canada in the Rough’ will be erecting our very first deer/hunt camp.  Made from British Columbia Red Cedar Logs by world renowned Pioneer Log Homes, this Hunt Camp is one to be hold.
